Hazardous substances and plastics still pose big threats in the Baltic Sea Area. What has been achieved so far to “Save the Baltic Sea”, one of the three goals of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) and what progress is required for the future? How do we ensure that the Baltic Sea is undisturbed by hazardous substances, marine litter and plastic?
