Nida Culture and Tourism Information Centre “Agila”- the only center in Lithuania that combines two fields: culture and tourism. Due to this reason, Centre has an exceptional possibility to join these two different, but also related activities. In the culture field, Centre organizes cultural events, traditional and state celebration, festivals, concerts, exhibitions and other events, collaborates with other institutions and renting the premises for various events. In addition, Centre has five folk music and dance collectives. While in tourism field, Nida CTIC “Agila” collects, processes and systematizes information about Neringa resort, provides tourism information through internet and directly, organizes publishing different kind of informational material. What is more, Centre representatives participate in the Lithuanian and international tourism exhibitions, organize receptions for foreign journalists.

Nida CTIC “Agila” has joined the project in order to help the region to become a recreational angling destination, to attract new angling tourists and to provide all related information in a united platform. Centre intention is to combine the past’s business of fishing with today’s business of hospitality and this way, help to preserve the culture of the region. Recreational fishing can add up to existing tourism supply chain and help to prolong the tourism season.
